Christmas With Chris Tomlin: Good News of Great Joy Tour
Christmas With Chris Tomlin returns in 2026 with a holiday concert series titled the Good News of Great Joy Tour.
The current tour schedule features performances from November 30 through December 18 in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, New Jersey, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio.
But this tour is more than a collection of December concert dates. Its central theme is Christmas worship and celebrating the Christian message of the season.
What Is Christmas With Chris Tomlin?
Christmas With Chris Tomlin is Chris Tomlin’s dedicated Christmas live experience.
The official tour description presents it as an intimate evening of Christmas worship centered on celebrating the Savior and experiencing the sights and sounds of Christmas together with friends and family.
That description helps distinguish the event from a conventional holiday pop concert.
Worship is central to the evening.
Why Is It Called Good News of Great Joy?
The phrase “Good News of Great Joy” reflects the Christian Christmas story and the announcement surrounding the birth of Jesus.
In comments released with the tour announcement, Tomlin discussed Christmas beginning with a song and his hope that audiences would gather to worship and celebrate while remembering that God is near.
The tour title therefore reflects the spiritual focus of the production rather than serving simply as seasonal branding.
Chris Tomlin and Christmas Worship
Chris Tomlin is known primarily for contemporary Christian and worship music.
His catalog includes widely recognized songs such as “How Great Is Our God,” “Our God,” “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)” and “Holy Forever.”
His Christmas performances bring that worship-oriented musical identity into a holiday setting.

Good News of Great Joy Tour Dates
The current schedule begins with Birmingham at Alabama Theatre and includes stops throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
Birmingham currently has shows on November 30 and December 1. The second Birmingham performance is marked sold out on the official artist schedule.
The tour then visits Daytona Beach, North Charleston, Pensacola, Knoxville, Newport News and Jersey City.
After several days without a listed performance, the final run takes Chris Tomlin through Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Cincinnati.

What Should Fans Expect?
Fans should expect a concert built around Christmas worship and seasonal celebration.
Specific song choices should not be assumed until they are performed or officially announced, because setlists can differ between concerts.
The presentation may also differ depending on the venue.
What is consistent in the official description is the tour’s emphasis on faith, Christmas and gathering together.
Is This Different From a Regular Chris Tomlin Concert?
Yes in theme.
Chris Tomlin performs throughout the year in several concert formats. His official schedule, for example, lists other 2026 performances separately from Christmas With Chris Tomlin.
The Christmas dates are specifically identified as the Good News of Great Joy Tour.
If the Christmas component is important to your plans, make sure the date you purchase is one of those dedicated holiday shows.
